Erasmus+ Mix Culture Day – 3rd of April 2017, multifunctional room, ground floor, 16.00-17.00
The theme of this year event is “Spring traditions across Europe” and its purpose is to facilitate cultural encounters as well as to help forward the dialogue between outgoing students and incoming students.
Incoming students are invited to take part in a workshop on decorating Easter eggs. Easter eggs are a widely popular symbol of new life in Bulgaria, Poland, Romania, Russia, Ukraine, and other Central European countries’ folk traditions. In Romania, during Easter celebration, one may find Easter eggs that are dyed red in every household. A very special technique of decorating Easter eggs, which are still popular in the northern part of the country, consist in creating intricate, brilliantly colored eggs, by using wax, paint and a quill.
Our partners from Interaktiv University will share with you the history of this tradition but also its secrets. At the end of the day you will be able to use a traditional pattern and to decorate, by yourself, an Easter egg.
The incoming students will also have the possibility to share with us and with our students a cake (or a cake recipe), a song, a fairy-tale related to spring tradition from their country of origin.
For subscribing to this event, please write at erasmus@comunicare.ro, before 31st of March 2017.
